There is simply an order
In which the thoughts seep into my brain
And on top of all, I think
I must stay miserable or it all fades away
I'm backed in a corner to create aural alchemy
It just gets harder when I'm running circles in my ever-present hate
I bring this upon myself
It's the only way I can write these spells anymore
I need a sense that I'm just about to fall right off the world
There is simply an order
In which the words fall onto the page
And most all, I think
A bird helps conjure what the people want to say
I'm backed in corner to create something moving
But it just gets harder when you're not moved by anything

Every time I think I’ve uncovered all the hidden gems I find another one, this is fine music. This band has two other more recent releases not available on Bandcamp, also amazing. Kind of a mix of genres with the post rock backbone I enjoy so much, very talented! Deej

Boston post-punk outfit Junk Ranchers broke up in 1986 before this, their debut album, was released; darkly melodic, it's a long-lost gem. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 22, 2020

I bought Fantastic Freak Show then after listening to about half of it I bought their entire discography. Don't make my mistake, just buy the discography first, you won't regret it. These guys are incredible, one of the best Psy-Rock bands I've heard. On top of that, these are almost all 24/48 and 24/96 recordings so their collection price is an amazing bargain. I have no clue how I missed these guys until now but I have a bunch of listening to do right now. :-) Dean Kimball
