And they all sounds the same
All the people that are calling my name
I am too fixed on the songs that I sing
And I feel I don't have much time
I just feel helpless against the clock
Wasting away
With hours and days of talking up things that I need to do
Persistence of time is taking over my mind
I don't know why I stopped sleeping
And I'm always awake when I'm dreaming of time taking over my mind
I'm the same man, but with stronger hands
And I've broken all my ties
But these nimble hands have made me envy of my kind
Would I trade my love from the gift to compose?
Well I gave up too much to write these notes
Would I burn all of my trust?
I don't know of a single person I haven't hurt
Why should I waste my precious time?
Persistence of time is taking over my mind
I don't know why I stopped sleeping
And I'm always awake when I'm dreaming of time taking over my mind
Should I waste my time with sleep when I know that I am meant for much greater things?
Would I kill just to transcend?
I would do disgusting things to stand in the end
Persistence of time is taking over my mind
I don't know why I stopped sleeping
And I'm always awake when I'm dreaming of time taking over my mind

Every time I think I’ve uncovered all the hidden gems I find another one, this is fine music. This band has two other more recent releases not available on Bandcamp, also amazing. Kind of a mix of genres with the post rock backbone I enjoy so much, very talented! Deej

Boston post-punk outfit Junk Ranchers broke up in 1986 before this, their debut album, was released; darkly melodic, it's a long-lost gem. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 22, 2020

I bought Fantastic Freak Show then after listening to about half of it I bought their entire discography. Don't make my mistake, just buy the discography first, you won't regret it. These guys are incredible, one of the best Psy-Rock bands I've heard. On top of that, these are almost all 24/48 and 24/96 recordings so their collection price is an amazing bargain. I have no clue how I missed these guys until now but I have a bunch of listening to do right now. :-) Dean Kimball
