You know, before I sleep I lock every door
There are things that people want from me
And I think you should know
I'll give you all you need
To be the greatest man to ever sing a song
Or write a tune that can change how people think
Oh, it's true
So, listen close to me
Don't forget a story
My mistakes will help you one day
Because when you're on top you're just alone and afraid
I was about your age when the magic came to me
With birds whistling in the forest
My parents used their words to make a livelihood with work
And we kept it contained within our home
On my 13th birthday I got my first guitar
I played until my hands bled
And I started writing all these songs
I didn't know what I was doing
I know there isn't much for you to say
But I will save you from these things
That put my talents to waste
When I learned to sing I gave up what a normal child would do
I wanted to move the world
And believe you me
It takes more than a day for you to reap the reward
It takes discipline
And it takes time
And it takes the courage to face your fears
And it takes might
And it takes the strength to change yourself

Every time I think I’ve uncovered all the hidden gems I find another one, this is fine music. This band has two other more recent releases not available on Bandcamp, also amazing. Kind of a mix of genres with the post rock backbone I enjoy so much, very talented! Deej
Tim Arnold's latest album of lushly detailed art-pop explores the insidious ways tech surveillance has become a part of our lives. Bandcamp New & Notable May 9, 2023
Boston post-punk outfit Junk Ranchers broke up in 1986 before this, their debut album, was released; darkly melodic, it's a long-lost gem. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 22, 2020

I bought Fantastic Freak Show then after listening to about half of it I bought their entire discography. Don't make my mistake, just buy the discography first, you won't regret it. These guys are incredible, one of the best Psy-Rock bands I've heard. On top of that, these are almost all 24/48 and 24/96 recordings so their collection price is an amazing bargain. I have no clue how I missed these guys until now but I have a bunch of listening to do right now. :-) Dean Kimball
